The journey — from Ireland to North County San Diego

Every practitioner has a reason they do what they do. Here is mine.

Chapter 01 · Ireland

Growing up in Ireland

Growing up in a large family in Ireland, I learned the value of caring for others from an early age.

Supporting a loved one through severe chronic pain sparked my interest in healing and laid the foundation for the work I do today-helping patients restore balance, health, and vitality. In essence, this is where my training began.

Chapter 02 · United States

Moving to the United States

After meeting my husband Brian, we moved to the United States with our daughter.

It was here that my professional path began to take shape — starting with a role that would change everything.

America gave me the space to pursue what I had always felt called to do. To study. To learn. To help people heal.

Chapter 03 · NET — a turning point

Discovering Neuro Emotional Technique

I went to work with Dr. Scott Walker and Dr. Deb Walker at the Neuro Emotional Technique corporate office.

I travelled nationally and internationally for NET seminars. What I witnessed — people experiencing immediate, real shifts in both emotional and physical wellbeing — made me certain of what I wanted to do.

I returned to school to complete my Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

Chapter 04 · A personal test

A diagnosis — and what followed

During my third year with the NET organisation, I received a cancer diagnosis in my left parietal region.

My father had passed away from brain cancer. The fear was immediate and profound.

I worked with acupuncturists, chiropractors, and NET practitioners — not to treat the cancer with NET, but to keep my nervous system as calm and regulated as possible while navigating something very difficult.

Today, I am completely cancer-free.

Neuro Emotional Technique does not treat or cure cancer. It helped me support my emotional and physiological state during a very stressful time. Nothing more, and nothing less.

Chapter 05 · Today

Celtic Roots Acupuncture — Carlsbad & Poway

I bring all of these experiences into my practice in Carlsbad and Poway.
